6/30/2009

Dallas – Viverae, a leading, national provider of customized health management solutions, proudly announces that Michael Nadeau, chief executive officer, was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 in the “emerging sector” category for Southwest Area North for his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Nadeau, a 35-year-old entrepreneur, was the youngest winner for the region this year and was recognized for his work leading and growing an up-and-coming company. He accepted the award at the black-tie awards ceremony on June 27 at the Majestic Theater in Dallas.

Nadeau is one of 11 regional winners selected by a panel of independent judges for the 2009 awards program. Regionally, the awards program received more than 70 nominations across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The national awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

“Viverae is changing the way people think about health care, and it is humbling to be recognized with this honor for our work in people’s lives,” said Nadeau, who founded the company in 2003. “Winning Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year in the emerging sector category is further validation of Viverae’s relentless work to redefine corporate wellness. The Viverae team has a shared passion and energy for creating stronger workplace cultures of health. Our dedicated health professionals are the root of our success.”

As a regional award winner, Nadeau is eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov.14, 2009. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

We are proud to recognize the achievements of Michael Nadeau,” said Chris Abston, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director for Southwest Area North. “Winners of the Entrepreneur Of The Year award build leading businesses and contribute significantly to the strength of our region’s economy. Their success helps our area grow stronger.”

Nadeau founded Viverae, formerly Elite Wellness, in 2003, after identifying the need for accountability in the workplace to keep employees healthy and reduce corporate spending on health care. Since inception, Nadeau has constantly evolved Viverae’s business model to stay ahead of the health care industry and clients’ ever-changing needs.

Today, Viverae helps employers of all sizes mitigate costs in response to out-of-control health care spending. Viverae’s hands-on programs are a unique combination of assessments, outreach, activities and employee incentives that are aligned with each client’s culture and health profile.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year.
